2. Organization Overview

The Scout Group is formed and registered under the Scout Association of Hong Kong (“the Association”), incorporated under the Scout Association of Hong Kong Ordinance (Cap. 1005 Laws of Hong Kong). The Scout Group is sponsored by Wah Yan College, Hong Kong. Leaders warranted by the Association are responsible for the activities run by the Scout Group and its sections.

Activities organized by the Scout Group are not considered extra-curricular activities of Wah Yan College, Hong Kong, and Pun U Association Wah Yan Primary School. The Principals of both institutions serve as ex-officio members of the Scout Group Council and will be consulted regarding activities.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Personal Information: This includes your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you provide when you register to the Scout Group or during your time at the Scout Group.
• Usage Data: We collect data on how you use the app, including attendance records, badge progress, and interactions with features.

• Run daily operation of the Scout Group.

The personal data collected by the Scout Group (“Personal Data”) is for processing applications and administrative purposes. Failure to provide necessary Personal Data may hinder application processing. Personal Data of unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed within 3 months after the end of the selection process.

The Scout Group will handle and use the Personal Data in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 Laws of Hong Kong) and may transfer the Personal Data to the School and/or the Association when necessary. Personal Data will not be used for direct marketing purposes.

We may take photos and/or videos during activities. These may be used by the Association, the Scout Group, and/or the School in printed materials, on websites, and/or on social media platforms.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:
